How To Take Off Your Ring

Ten different Automic Gold engagement rings on a blue ribbon with a darker blue background

Did you know your ring size can change throughout the day? From the food you eat, to the weather outside, or maybe from medical reasons, your finger may swell from time to time. If you find your ring harder to take off than usual, here are three ways to remove your ring that won’t hurt your finger or bend the metal and prongs.

Method 1:

Gently, pull your skin back from the top of your finger towards your wrist and then, grabbing the ring from the sides, twist your ring off your finger.

Method 2:

If twisting is causing your finger to become red or inflamed, place your thumb on the bottom of the ring and push up on the underside of the band. Use your index and middle finger to grab the ring from the sides, not the top and bottom, then slide it over your knuckle.

Method 3:

If pushing up isn't enough, use a very small amount of mild soap and lukewarm water to add moisture. Then repeat method 2.

Radically wearable fine jewelry, for everyone.
